The Momentum Group to sponsor YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards category

Liverpool-based property services company, The Momentum Group, will sponsor the new ‘Build-to-Rent (BTR) Development of the Year’ category at the YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards 2023.

Founded by Chris Bliss and Chris Renshaw in Liverpool in 2018, The Momentum Group has grown from a team of 11 serving three clients in the city to employing 57 people advising almost 200 clients spread throughout the North West and beyond.

The company has four divisions: Advise, Build, Manage and Maintain, while Momentum Contribute represents the business’s commitment to having a positive impact on its people and the communities of which it is part, and runs through every aspect of The Momentum Group’s activities.

Based on Dale Street, the company has a growing residential portfolio.  Momentum Manage provides property management services for The Princes Building on Dale Street and Momentum Maintain, provides facilities management services for 240 apartments at The Keel on Liverpool’s waterfront; The Princes Building, serviced apartments across the city for My Property Host and various City Residential managed properties.

Momentum Maintain has also delivered facilities management services to Angel Gardens in Manchester and Moda, The Lexington in Liverpool.

The Momentum Group’s residential expertise is in addition to many new commissions over the last 12 months.  These include working for Grosvenor to transform the former Debenhams in Liverpool ONE into the new home of Gravity MAX and M&S, with Momentum Build also completing the fit-out of Gravity MAX to create the brand’s new national flagship.

Other recent projects include the project management of the delivery of Urban Playground at Manchester Arndale, and the fit-out and delivery of Liverpool’s first esports and gaming venue, Leveltap on Hanover Street.

The group’s facilities management division, Momentum Maintain, has experienced significant growth during the last year. Its portfolio includes Runcorn Shopping City, the town’s main retail destination, and several of Liverpool’s landmark buildings, including Glenbrook’s One Temple Square, and for Yakel Property Investment, the Grade I-Listed Oriel Chambers, the Grade A office building Aviation House and Bramley House in Guildford, Surrey.

The Momentum Group joins category sponsors including Everton Stadium, and Together for the YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards 2023, which will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on 30 November.

Alongside the new ‘Build to Rent (BTR) Development of the Year’ award, accolades will be handed out across a diverse range of categories including Best Large New Home Development, Best Affordable Housing Scheme, Residential Property Agency of the Year, Business Leader of the Year and LCR Business of the Year.

Karl Clawley, who joined The Momentum Group in 2021 and oversees Momentum Contribute, which includes the group’s charitable Foundation, has been shortlisted in the City Region Champion category.
